Forever the fidget and with the winter months just passing us by, the fidgetness encroaches as usual upon me so taking some space to wind up the body alittle further and stretch it and relax in my own particular way with a couple of trips to boot camps in Notts and South Wales later this year and fingers cross an emotive journey to Kililmanjaro.....so so can't wait.

A truly remarkable journey not just physically in relation to the starter, the non-commercial/private Umbwe Route, regarded as the most difficult of all the routes but the onward transition with the crew/porters/guide and the simplicity and enjoyment of the various plains of ascent, rock climbing, dizzy heights, and undertaking for me was physically fine and easy and was reined in at times by the Guide as I was snapping at the heels of Poncinni and Castro on ascent. Personally an overwhelming experience of the people themselves, the surroundings, the wealth, vastness and power of the Mountain, you have to abide by it totally, never never to be underestimated. Descent amazing with Roger (the mountain goat) loved the scrabbling, the tip-toeing and balance on ones' balls of feet from rock to rock, sliding and strong legs as descent became quicker and quicker.
