THE SILENT SCHOOLBOY - RODIN

Neighbourhoods are like human beings. They are born, grow up, become handsome or ugly, change their outward appearance, and age without forfeiting their personality. The same spirit lives on in them.

MOUNT EVEREST AND KALA PATTAR

Mount Everest : aka Limbu Chajamlangm or Mount Chomolungma, is the world's highest mountain above sea level at 8,850 metres (29,035 ft high) of the central Himalayas on the Nepel, border of Xizang (Tibet) and Nepal.
The highest elevation in the world, it was first scaled in 1953 by members of an expedition including Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay.
Everest Mount (29,029 848m as officially recognised by China and Nepal, rock height only, 29,016ft/8,844m. In 1999 American Climbers using GPS measured the Everest's total height at 29,035 ft (8,850m), but that measurement has not been accepted by Nepal or China.
Called Chomolungma or Qomolangma (Mother Goddess of the Land) by Tibetans and Sagarmatha (Head of the Sea) by Nepalis, it is named in English for the surveyor Sir George Everest. It was first climbed on May 28 1953, when Sir Edmund Hillary and Tenzing Norgay reached the summit. The body of George H L Mallory who died in an earlier attempt (1924) was found on the mountain in 1999.

INTIMACY TO A DEGREE

Toni headed a large marketing department in Lower Manhattan, the anniversary of her eighteenth year looming fast, employees seemingly two a penny together with an abundance of different female faces rolled over week by week. By comparison similar to a majestic queen bee within an over spilling bee hive surrounded by her millions of tiny industrious workers. Toni’s adoration and self belief was totally reflected in where her status lay to-date, her quiet authority, the undetermined early years of working long hours had repaid her a thousand fold, together with an undisputable amount of steely determination. At an early age an ugly divorce had redefined her objectives in life although now very many years on, that relationship was now rather paternal.
The ability to stride tall, daily through the cool marbled corridors and alight the glass booth elevator to the 67th floor, surrounded by the glittering decadence and striking views from the Hudson River, encompassed with snatches and glimpses of the New York skyline never failed to enthuse her.
The eloquence of the ever-changing skyline, an earlier view of an 1898 print she housed at her condominium located on Twelfth Avenue reminded her that individuals, people were like chapters in a voluminous encyclopaedia, pages turning, history being recorded, The metropolis buzzed with a verve that Toni languished in but never took for granted. Daily team meetings were housed to brainstorm and keep their business proactive and in ship-shape condition, whilst Sarah, Toni’s meek but extraordinarily competent assistant kept her agenda and schedules on course.
Tentatively fiddling with the smooth pebble-like buttons on her blouse, a slim forefinger caressing her chin, trickling its way to the base of her throat, lingering to meander towards the entrance of her open neck blouse.

QUOTE FOR THE DAY

"I believe that everything happens for a reason. People change so that you can learn to let go, things go wrong so that you appreciate them when they're right, you believe lies so you eventually learn to trust no one but yourself, and sometimes good things fall apart so better things can fall together."---Marilyn Monroe

The Cycle

Does death frighten us?
Why are we here?
We reel in the same circle as insects and plants
Our bodies are disintegrating with time
Our reminds writh backwards and forwards
Captive in frustration fulfilment, the ever searching
Why are we here?
